Tom Wieber created the End of the Tail Guide Service in early 2008 after fishing the Voyageurs National Park chain of lakes since 2001. Based out of the central entrance to Voyageurs, Ash River provides great access to Lake Kabetogama, Namakan Lake, and even the southeast end of Rainy Lake. My home base is at the Ash Trail Lodge, however, pickup can be arranged at any park campsite, houseboat site, or other resort.

Your adventure takes place aboard a 21 foot 2008 Alumacraft Trophy powered by a 225HP Evinrude E-tec. Plenty of room and plenty of power for an all day trip with up to four people fishing, not including Tom. At the fishing holes, Lowrance electronics and a 10HP Johnson kicker put us into final position.

Peace of mind...
What you need...
Your own fishing gear is not required as Tom will have plenty on board already. However, if you prefer to bring ONE of your favorite rods and a small tackle box, you can. Even though we have plenty of room, it is nice to have lots of extra floor space during our trip. Bring what you NEED, not all that you HAVE!
